Our mission

STEM2Mars is a mission-driven charitable initiative focused on feeding hungry children and expanding access to science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. Through community partnerships, educational programs and hands-on projects, we work to meet immediate needs while creating opportunities for young people to learn, imagine and build a better future.
Feed hungry children
We back hunger-relief efforts where they already work — school and community food programs, weekend and summer gaps, local partners who know their neighbourhoods. A child who is hungry is not available to learn.
Open the door to STEM
We create chances to actually do science and engineering: hands-on projects, equipment, mentorship and collaboration. Not a poster about a career — a workbench, a problem, and someone who believes you can solve it.
Community partnerships
We work through the organisations already trusted on the ground rather than duplicating them, so more of every dollar reaches a plate or a project.
Endurance as a platform
Our athletes take on hard, public objectives in the mountains and use the attention to point at the work. Long efforts are a good way to talk about long problems.

Athletes
Somebody has to go first.
STEM2Mars athletes take on objectives that are genuinely hard and genuinely public. Right now that means 166.9 miles and 33,400 feet of climbing around the Collegiate Loop, unsupported, chasing a 2-day-11-hour standard.
